[Tugas 2] Explain about...

  • Explain about tense
1. Simple Present Tense
The simple present tense in English is used to describe an action that is regular, true or normal.. The action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a scheduled event or something that often happens.

Exp:
- They speak English at school.
- I don't have time for a rest.

2. Simple Past Tense
The simple past tense is used to talk about finished actions that happened at a specific time in the past. You state when it happened using a time adverb.
You form the simple past of a verb by adding -ed onto the end of a regular verb but, irregular verb forms have to be learnt. There are several examples of irregular verbs in our Picture It section.

Exp:
- I lived in Jakarta for two years.
- I studied traditional dance when I was a child.

3. Simple Future Tense
We sometimes use the simple present form to discuss future events. Especially when talking about official events that happen at a set time such as timetables, meetings, itineraries, programmes etc.

Exp:
- I will translate the article, so you can read it.
- When you arrive tonight, we will go out for dinner.

  • Explain about noun
1. Pronoun
A pronoun (I, me, he, she, herself, you, it, that, they, each, few, many, who, whoever, whose, someone, everybody, etc.) is a word that takes the place of a noun. In informal English, most people tend to follow to be verbs with object pronouns like me, her, them. Many English scholars tolerate this distinction between formal and casual English. Do not combine a subject pronoun and an object pronoun in phrases like her and I or he and me. Whenever and or or links an object pronoun (her, me) and a subject pronoun (he, I), one of those pronouns will always be wrong.

2. Singular
Singular is a form of the noun that shows that there is only one.

3. Plural noun
Plural is the form of a noun that serves to indicate that the quantity of that noun is larger than one.
